Windows Electron App Development

I’m planning to release a desktop application built with Electron that will run natively on Windows. At this stage I want a solid, well-structured codebase that I can extend easily as we finalise features. The core functionality and any external API connections are still being defined, so the initial milestone focuses on the foundation: project scaffolding, window management, menu/Tray setup, secure IPC between main and renderer processes, and an automated build pipeline that produces a signed Windows installer.
Your deliverable should include:
• A clean Git repository with descriptive commits and README.
• The packaged Windows installer plus portable build.
• Instructions for adding future API integrations (even if none are wired up yet).
Please use modern JavaScript or TypeScript, Webpack/Vite (whichever you prefer), and keep the codebase modular so I can slot in data-handling or communication features later without rewrites.
