WhatsApp Email Archiving Web App
Budget: $30 – $250 SGD
I need help taking my ordinary WhatsApp number and turning it into a proper WhatsApp Business API account, then wiring that feed into a small web application that automatically forwards every incoming and outgoing message—text, picture, video or document—to a designated email address for long-term archiving.
Because I have no Business API account yet, the first step will be guiding me through Facebook Business verification and the sign-up flow or, if it is faster, integrating a reliable third-party provider such as Twilio, 360dialog or WATI. Once the number is live on the API, I want a lightweight web interface built (any modern stack is fine—Node, Python, PHP, Go, etc.). The app’s only job is to:
• Receive the webhook payload from WhatsApp
• Immediately forward the full content to my chosen mailbox via SMTP, keeping original sender, timestamp and caption intact
• Attach images, audio, video and document files in their original quality
• Mirror replies I send by email back into the WhatsApp chat so the conversation stays in sync
Please keep the UI minimal—just a dashboard to change the destination email, view delivery logs and toggle media forwarding on/off. Hosting can be on AWS, DigitalOcean or another straightforward VPS; I simply need deployment instructions so I can maintain it myself later.
When you hand over the project I will consider it complete once:
1. My number is fully approved on WhatsApp Business API and able to send and receive messages.
2. Messages and media appear in my email within a few seconds of delivery.
3. Email replies re-enter WhatsApp correctly, including media.
If you have already solved a similar workflow, let’s get it running for me.
