Technical Advisor for Mobile App Development (Architecture, Security & Delivery/Development Oversight – React Native)
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Hello,
I’m the founder of a mobile consumer app (iOS & Android, React Native).
I already have a development team/vendor in place.
This role is not for hands-on coding, but for technical oversight, validation, and governance, ensuring the product is built correctly, securely, and in a scalable, maintainable way.
Main Responsibilities
• Act as the technical advisor and final technical reference point
• Review and validate the overall architecture (mobile & backend – high level) and security approach
• Review and validate the SOW against Figma designs and product requirements
• Review and refine the technical roadmap and delivery plan
• Identify scope gaps, technical risks, and misalignments before development progresses
• Review weekly builds/releases and provide clear, written feedback
• Coordinate with the existing development team (already hired by me)
• Review and validate video-related best practices, including upload handling, playback performance, storage lifecycle, and cost efficiency
• Help prevent unnecessary technical debt, insecure implementations, and poor code quality
• Make best practices recommendations
Key Requirements
• Strong experience in mobile app development (iOS & Android)
• Solid understanding of modern architectures, APIs, databases, and security principles
• Experience reviewing and guiding development teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear, structured communication
Ideal Experience
• Previous role as Technical Advisor, Lead Engineer, or Software Architect
• Experience supporting app launches (App Store & Google Play)
• Familiarity with best practices for scalable, consumer-facing applications
Engagement Model
I’m open to:
• An initial focused advisory engagement (architecture, SOW/Figma, roadmap)
• Followed by light, ongoing support during development, if there’s a good fit
Additional Notes
• This is a client-side advisory role
• Independence from delivery is important, as you will work with me and the supplier
• The goal is to ensure quality, alignment, and sound technical decisions
