Stripe Connect Payments Architect

I’m building a SaaS platform that relies on Stripe Connect, and the centrepiece is a rock-solid multi-party payment flow. I already have initial diagrams and user stories, but they need the eye of an experienced backend architect to turn them into production-grade code.

Your primary mission is to refine and implement every step of the multi-party transaction lifecycle—account onboarding, destination charges, transfers, refunds, tax handling—and wire it all together with idempotent webhooks. The goal is a workflow that remains accurate even when a request is repeated, interrupted, or partially processed.

Stack details
• Node.js / TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Prisma on the backend
• React for the dashboard (a junior dev can handle UI tweaks, docs, and other non-critical tasks if you prefer to delegate)

Core deliverables (senior scope)
• A detailed technical specification for the payment workflow, covering success, failure, and edge-case paths
• Secure, fully-tested API endpoints and webhook handlers that respect Stripe’s idempotency keys
• Clear implementation notes so junior contributors can extend or maintain the code without breaking critical logic
