AI search and assistants (ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) are changing how buyers find yachts. We’re looking for an **AI Search Optimization Lead** to make the Yachting Company the **most findable yacht brand in AI**—and turn that visibility into qualified enquiries and deals.
## What you’ll own
* **AI Discoverability Stack**
* Ship and maintain **LLM.txt / ai.txt**, AI-friendly **robots.txt**, and **AI-preferred sitemaps** (curated best pages, video, images, data sets).
* Design **answer-ready content**: “At a glance” boxes, spec tables, FAQs, and **JSON-LD** (`Product/Boat`, `Offer`, `FAQPage`, `Article`, `VideoObject`).
* Build **citation-friendly pages** (clean titles/anchors/ids) so AI systems can quote & link us.
* **Data & APIs for AI**
* Expose **read-only APIs/feeds** (yacht specs, pricing ranges, itineraries, port data) for trusted AI ingestion; version and document them.
* Stand up a lightweight **knowledge graph** (models, builders, marinas, ranges, APA/VAT rules) used across site & AI endpoints.
* **Multilingual Scale (90 languages)**
* Own **hreflang** clusters, canonicals, and language QA so each language earns and keeps indexation.
* Ensure **image/video** assets (WebP/AVIF + captions/alt) boost engagement and AI snippet quality.
* **Technical performance**
* Keep **LCP ≤2.5s**, **TTFB <300ms** on key templates; clean internal linking; crawl stats healthy.
* **Analytics & Growth**
* Track **AI referral analytics** (Perplexity/Copilot/SGE/citations), **blended Cost per MQL**, and PDP enquiry rate.
* Partner with brokers/marketing to turn AI traffic into **calls, WhatsApps, and bookings**.
## You are
* A hybrid **SEO + data + product** profile with 5–8 yrs in technical SEO/content systems; bonus if you’ve shipped **RAG/LLM** projects.
* Pro in **schema.org/JSON-LD**, sitemaps at scale, log analysis, multilingual SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
* Comfortable with **Python/JS** for automation, **GSC/GA4/BigQuery**, and one cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
* Clear communicator who can brief designers, guide devs, and align execs on KPIs.
## Nice to have
* Experience with **vector search/RAG**, **OpenAI/Anthropic** APIs, **LangChain/LlamaIndex**.
* Built **public data feeds/APIs** consumed by partners or AI crawlers.
* Yachting domain knowledge (builders, models, charter terms).

## 30/60/90 plan
* **30 days:** Audit; ship **LLM.txt/ai.txt**, AI sitemaps; fix canonicals/hreflang on top 500 PDPs; add “At a glance” boxes + JSON-LD; set AI analytics.
* **60 days:** Launch **API/feeds** for specs & itineraries; implement video schema + video sitemap; create 50 **AI-ready pillar pages** with FAQs; begin **AI referral reporting**.
* **90 days:** Roll out **knowledge graph v1**; automate multilingual schema & image alt; publish quarterly **AI discoverability report**; lift PDP enquiry rate by **+25–40%** on top clusters.
