Salesforce–Custom ERP Integration Setup
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’m ready to wire our Salesforce org into a proprietary ERP platform so data flows cleanly between the two without manual re-keying. My priority is full “Integration with other systems,” specifically an “ERP system,” but ours is a home-grown solution rather than SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Here’s the picture:
• Objects in scope include Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Orders, and custom objects that mirror our ERP tables.
• Data must travel both ways—new or updated records in either system should appear in the other within minutes.
• I’d like to use standard Salesforce APIs (REST or SOAP) or Apex callouts; I’m open to middleware such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or a lightweight custom service if that proves cleaner.
• Authentication will rely on OAuth 2.0 from the Salesforce side; the ERP can expose secure HTTPS endpoints or consume yours.
• Error handling and retry logic need to be rock-solid, with clear logging.
• A concise admin guide and commented source code round out the hand-off.
Deliverables
1. Technical design doc outlining the data model mapping, integration flow, and chosen toolset.
2. Working integration code or middleware configuration deployed to our Salesforce Sandbox and ERP staging environment.
3. Test plan and test evidence covering create, update, delete, error, and bulk scenarios.
4. Admin/Dev hand-over documentation plus a brief walk-through session.
Acceptance criteria
• Bi-directional sync completes in <5 minutes for single records and <30 minutes for nightly bulk jobs of up to 10 k rows.
• All mapped fields persist accurately with no data truncation or loss.
• Error logs surface in Salesforce and in the ERP dashboard with actionable messages.
• Integration passes UAT and is ready for Production promotion.
