PHP React Full-Stack

I’m building a new product on AWS using PHP 8, React for web, and React Native for mobile. The front-end foundations are in place; where I need your expertise is the backend.

Here’s what I need you to dive into:

• API creation and integration – design RESTful (and, where it makes sense, GraphQL) endpoints, document them clearly, and make sure front-end clients can consume them with minimal friction.
• User authentication and management – implement secure signup/login, token refresh, and role-based access control, ideally with best-practice libraries such as Laravel Sanctum or AWS Cognito if we decide to offload.
• Data processing and storage – wire up efficient flows that read and write to MySQL, PostgreSQL, and the pg-vector extension for semantic search features. Proper indexing, migrations, and automated tests are expected.

Tech context
– PHP 8.x (Laravel preferred, open to Symphony)
– React & React Native front-ends already consuming a small set of endpoints
– AWS stack: EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, with room for Lambda where serverless fits

Deliverables & acceptance
1. Fully documented API endpoints pushed to our private Git repo and visible in Swagger/OpenAPI.
2. Auth module integrated, passing unit and integration tests, and deployed to staging via our GitHub Actions pipeline.
3. Data layer code with migrations, seeders, and pg-vector search prototype returning relevant results within agreed latency thresholds.
4. A concise hand-off note describing deployment steps and environment variables.
