Node.js Modular Web Build

I’m looking for a highly skilled Node.js developer to lay the groundwork for a web application. The immediate goal is a clean, modular starting point that I can expand later, so the scope is intentionally lean.

What I need right now:
• A Node.js codebase (Express preferred) organised into clear, reusable modules.
• One example API endpoint and a placeholder user-auth route to prove routing works.
• Basic project scripts with nodemon for hot-reload and dotenv for config management.
• A concise README explaining local setup and how to add new modules.

No front-end, payment flow, or live deployment is required at this stage—the focus is purely on modular development and sound project structure.
