We are building a new system that connects with multiple external networks and services to process secure account identifiers. The goal is to replace direct usage of sensitive numbers with a new standardized identifier to improve privacy, compliance, and interoperability.
The project involves:
• Designing and implementing APIs that can receive and process requests from external networks.
• Storing and managing identifiers in a secure and scalable way (likely using a cloud database or key/value store).
• Building data pipelines/streams that listen for updates from external sources and update the new identifier records accordingly.
• Applying error handling, retries, and monitoring to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Coordinating integration testing with partner systems to validate the new identifier flow.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience in backend development (API design, secure data storage, cloud-based services).
• Ability to design a system that is resilient, scalable, and easy to monitor.
• Familiarity with error handling strategies (retryable vs non-retryable errors).
• Comfort working with external API specifications and adapting to evolving requirements.
Deliverables
• System architecture diagram.
• Implementation of core services (APIs + database layer + streaming/processing components).
• Documentation of error handling and monitoring approach.
• Test plan for integration with external partners.
