Laravel Custom App with 2FA

I’m building a tailor-made web application on Laravel and need someone who can jump straight into the codebase. The core of the project revolves around secure user management, so robust two-factor authentication must be implemented from the ground up. Beyond that, the app will speak to external services, so clean, well-documented API integration is equally critical.

Here’s what I expect:
• Implement Laravel’s authentication scaffolding, extend it to support 2FA (TOTP or SMS—open to your recommendation), and make sure the flow is smooth for both new registrations and returning users.
• Structure and consume third-party APIs, ensuring responses are cached or throttled where sensible for performance.
• Write concise unit and feature tests to cover the authentication layer and the API endpoints you create.
• Commit frequently to Git so I can follow progress; I’ll handle code reviews and merge requests on my end.

Ship quality, readable PHP 8+ code that follows PSR-12 and leverage Laravel best practices—service classes, request validation, Events & Listeners, etc. If you have experience with Sanctum or Passport and can suggest improvements, let’s talk.
