Labor-Market Based Job Matching System

Job ID: 39721571

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Project (simple):
A desktop web system that helps underemployed workers find high-demand jobs by using real-time labor-market data. Workers (or partner orgs) submit a short profile—skills, languages, ZIP, commute. The system ingests fresh jobs from public APIs, cleans them, and ranks Top-5 matches per worker with an explainable note (“WhyMatch”: skills hit, local, posted X days ago). Admins can send matches by email/SMS and track outcomes (Applied → Interview → Offer → Hired) on a small dashboard. It’s privacy-light, volunteer-friendly, and built to run weekly with minimal clicks.

Core features (brief):
• Live jobs: pulls and de-dupes roles from real-time sources (e.g., Adzuna/USAJOBS).
• Transparent matching: score = skills fit + location + posting recency (plain-English “WhyMatch”).
• Simple intake: bilingual forms for workers and employers.
• Operations: one “Run Match” button; KPI tiles for matches/interviews/hires.
• Partner mode: libraries/ESL groups can do assisted intake; minimal PII and consent built in.
Very flexible on way it gets done.
