Immediate Freelance Python Developer

I need a seasoned Python developer who can jump in right away for a short-term, fully remote engagement that will run somewhere between one and three months. The workload is light but focused—about two productive hours each weekday—so it should fit well beside other commitments if you are disciplined with your time.
Your day-to-day will revolve around writing clean Python that exposes or consumes APIs, wiring those endpoints to Kafka pipelines, and tightening up the SQL that feeds our data layer. Along the way, you’ll profile and squash any performance issues you spot while working in a Linux/Unix environment.
I’m looking for someone with four or more years of solid Python experience, a proven track record of integrating services, and the confidence to own tasks end to end. Clear, prompt communication over Git and a lightweight ticketing tool is essential because we work asynchronously.
Deliverables are straightforward: well-documented code committed to our repository, unit tests that pass in CI, and measurable performance gains where optimisation is part of the brief. Once each piece meets those criteria, it’s considered complete.
