IXLA ID5 Printer Integration
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a C# developer who knows their way around hardware SDKs to wire the IXLA ID5 card printer straight into my existing WinForms application. The immediate requirement is to enable reliable card printing for our employee ID cards and, at the same time, encode each card’s smart-card chip during the print cycle.
Here is the current landscape and what I expect you to deliver:
• My WinForms app (NET 4.8) already stores the employee data, photos, and badge layout; your work starts with adding a “Print & Encode” button that sends that data to the IXLA ID5 via its SDK or any well-documented API layer.
• The flow must cover printer discovery, status polling, error handling (paper out, ribbon low, misfeeds), and a progress indicator inside the UI.
• Smart card chip encoding has to be triggered automatically as part of the same job ticket, with a success/fail confirmation returned to the application.
Acceptance criteria
1. A test build successfully prints at least 10 consecutive employee ID cards while encoding the chip on each one, with logs proving job status and chip UID.
2. No unhandled exceptions in either synchronous or asynchronous print calls.
3. Clear setup instructions so I can reproduce the installation on a fresh workstation.
