Google Cast Traffic Control System Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Network Programming (mDNS) project
I need to build a Google Cast Traffic Management Server. The idea is to have a server that manages all Google Cast communication between guest phones and room TVs across isolated networks.
Right now, I already have a basic version working — the mDNS discovery part is functional, and the QR code flow on the TVs is also working. So, the core concept is already proven. What’s missing is the TCP flow after discovery, and integrating everything with a database, since at the moment there’s no database handling any of the connections or device mapping.
The goal is for the server to act as the only communication point between the guest and TV networks — no direct device-to-device connections. It needs to handle both discovery and control traffic securely across multiple VLANs.
I’d like to start with a proof of concept (POC) based on the current setup, and then move forward to a full implementation once the flow is stable. I’ll share more technical details.
Before going into more technical details, I’d just like to know if this type of project falls within your area of expertise. If so, I can share more context and we can discuss the next steps, starting with a proof of concept (POC) and later moving toward a full implementation.
