Freelance API Developer Needed: Social Media Trend Data

Project Overview:
We are looking for a skilled freelance API developer to build a reliable and custom API to retrieve trending content from four major social media platforms: YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
Our existing solution, which relies on various third-party APIs from services like RapidAPI, has proven to be unstable and prone to frequent failures due to deprecated endpoints, broken data formats, and unpredictable service interruptions (e.g., HTTP 404/403 errors).
The primary goal of this project is to develop a single, robust, and custom-built API that provides a consistent data stream for our application, eliminating our dependency on unreliable third-party services.
Key Responsibilities:
API Development: Build a clean, efficient, and well-documented API from scratch using a language like Python (with Flask/Django) or Node.js (with Express).
Platform Integration: Develop reliable scraping or API integration logic for each of the following platforms:
YouTube: Retrieve trending videos.
Instagram: Retrieve trending posts/reels based on a specific hashtag (e.g., #travel).
X (Twitter): Retrieve current trending topics and relevant content.
TikTok: Retrieve trending videos.
Data Consistency: Ensure that the data retrieved from each platform is processed and returned in a unified, consistent JSON format.
Error Handling: Implement robust error handling and retry mechanisms to handle network issues, rate limits, and platform changes gracefully.
Documentation: Provide clear and comprehensive API documentation that includes endpoint details, required parameters, and example responses.
Scalability: The solution should be designed with future scalability in mind.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in API development.
Expertise in web scraping techniques (e.g., using libraries like BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Puppeteer).
Deep understanding of the data structures of social media platforms.
Proficiency in handling and manipulating JSON data.
