Fix Node & React Bugs
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m handing over a mature Node.js + React codebase that’s become unstable, mainly on the backend. The most obvious pain point is API failures that interrupt core flows, so your first task will be to trace those calls, pinpoint the breakage, and patch them without introducing regressions.
You’ll start with a quick architecture walkthrough (I’ll grant repo access and share the current CI logs). From there, I expect:
• A concise bug report identifying each failing API endpoint, root cause, and the fix you implemented
• Code updates (Node.js on the server, React on the client) pushed via pull requests with clear commit messages
• Tests or test stubs covering the repaired areas so we don’t repeat these outages
Beyond the immediate fixes, performance profiling and actionable recommendations for future hardening are welcome. I value engineers who’ve shipped real-time or gaming features before, so be sure to mention anything relevant—low-latency data pipelines, WebSocket optimisations, event-driven architectures, etc.
