Escrow Website & Android App
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a complete escrow solution delivered as both a responsive website and a native Android application. The core objective is to safeguard buyers who purchase goods from unfamiliar vendors by holding funds in escrow until the package is confirmed as received.
Key functions I must see working end-to-end:
• Multi-payment gateway integration: PayPal, M-Pesa, and Visa Card should all process deposits, releases, and refunds seamlessly.
• Straightforward email-and-password authentication so users can register, log in, and manage their accounts without social logins.
• A buyer-seller workflow that automatically locks the payment, notifies each party of status changes, and releases funds on my defined trigger (package delivered or dispute resolved).
• Built-in dispute resolution center that lets either side open a case, upload evidence, and receive admin-mediated outcomes.
• Persistent transaction history showing every escrow’s lifecycle and financial movement.
• User rating and review mechanism tied to completed transactions to build marketplace trust.
Deliverables I expect:
1. Production-ready website with an admin dashboard for user, payment, and dispute management.
2. Android app (Kotlin or Java is fine) mirroring all user-facing features of the site.
3. RESTful API documentation so the system can be extended later, plus basic technical documentation for deployment.
4. Clean, well-commented source code handed over via Git.
Acceptance criteria: a test transaction using each payment method must move through deposit, hold, dispute, and release states without manual intervention, and I must be able to view logs in both the admin panel and the user’s transaction history.
I’m flexible on the tech stack—choose whatever language and framework you’re fastest and most confident with, as long as security best practices (HTTPS, encrypted credentials, proper input validation) are observed. Let me know your proposed architecture, timeline, and any clarifying questions so we can get started.
