Driver Mobile Application with Location-Based Trip Allocation (API Required)

Project Description,

We are looking for an experienced mobile app developer (or team) to build a driver-side application for a logistics / trip allocation system. The app will use real-time location tracking and API-based trip allocation.

This project requires both mobile app development and backend API integration.


Authentication

Login and Sign-Up using mobile number / email

Secure authentication via backend APIs


Location (Mandatory)

Real-time GPS tracking (location must always be ON while app is active)

Location data sent to backend through APIs

App should restrict usage if location permission is disabled


Driver Availability

Available / Not Available toggle button

Availability status synced with backend via API

Only available drivers should receive trip requests


Trip Allocation (Location-Based)

Trips assigned automatically based on driver location

API to fetch nearby trip requests

Trip request includes:

Pickup & drop locations

Distance / ETA (optional)


Trip Actions

Accept / Reject trip buttons


Logic

Accept → trip locked to that driver

Reject / timeout → trip reassigned to another nearby driver


Trip Status Updates

Location-based or manual status updates:

Arrived at pickup

Trip started (in transit)

Trip completed

Status updates sent to backend via API


Trip Cancellation

Cancel trip API

Cancelled trips should be reassigned automatically

Cancelled trip details removed from driver screen

Profile details:

Name, phone number, email

Vehicle type(s)

Vehicle number

Document uploads:

Driving License

Aadhaar Card

Profile view & update via API

New trip requests
