Develop Secure FHIR API for Hospital Claims Integration
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
We are Titan Collections, a healthcare revenue recovery firm specializing in third-party liability (auto accident) claims. We’re looking to develop a secure, production-grade FHIR API that allows us to retrieve claim and patient encounter data from hospitals and provider systems.
We need a developer (or small team) with experience in:
• FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) — ideally STU3 or R4
• Building RESTful APIs in healthcare
• OAuth2 / SMART on FHIR authorization
• Healthcare compliance & security best practices
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, or other major EHRs is a plus
⸻
Scope of Work:
• Build a FHIR API endpoint that can connect to external hospital systems (test environment initially)
• Include authentication, logging, and security layers
• Support key FHIR resources: Patient, Encounter, Claim, Coverage, Organization
• Ability to handle bulk data transfers or periodic syncs
• Provide basic documentation and API keys/token management
• Optional: assist with integration into our internal workflow tools
⸻
Deliverables:
• Working, secure FHIR API with authentication
• Source code and deployment instructions
• Sample calls with test data
• API documentation
• Support for a test implementation (may lead to follow-on work)
⸻
Requirements:
• Verifiable experience building FHIR-compliant APIs
• Portfolio of past healthcare or HL7/FHIR work
• Fluent in English and available for at least one Zoom call
• Knowledge of U.S. HIPAA compliance standards preferred
⸻
Budget & Timeline:
We are a startup, so we are cost-conscious. Preference given to strong experience at a reasonable rate. We’re open to fixed-price or milestone-based payments. Ideal timeline: MVP within 4–6 weeks.
⸻
To Apply:
Please include the following in your proposal:
• A brief overview of your experience with FHIR and healthcare APIs
• Links to past projects (if available)
• Whether you have worked with any hospital EHR systems
• Your preferred tech stack
• Your estimated cost and timeline
