Develop Jira Plugin for Email Integration
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I'm seeking a developer to build a new Jira plugin for mail ingestion to replace an existing one that is no longer supported. The primary functionality of this plugin will be to handle ticket updates based on email replies and manage email attachments including adding of attachments but also detecting duplicates to prevent images from email signatures, etc from being added every time the thread is updated.
Key Requirements:
- Develop a Jira plugin to update tickets from email replies
- Requires basic plugin interface that appears in ticket that shows current emails and allows replies to be sent
- Handle email attachments effectively within Jira
- Support IMAP for email service integration (including the creation of an email handling application
- Implement custom fields generated or mapped from emails
- Run via a docker container that includes email processing and IMAP handling
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience in Jira plugin development
- Proficiency in handling email protocols, especially IMAP
- Ability to create and manage custom fields within Jira
- Experience in integrating email functionalities with ticketing systems
