DevExpress Report Dashboard Migration
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I have an existing ASP.NET web application whose reporting layer is still built around Microsoft Report Viewer and a set of .RDL files. Each report is generated through a SQL Server stored procedure defined inside the RDL and rendered by Report Viewer. I now need to replace that stack with DevExpress so I can modernise the UI, add a consolidated dashboard, and keep the export workflow intact.
Scope
• Re-create every current tabular report in DevExpress, matching the on-screen layout and pagination one-for-one.
• Build a responsive dashboard that presents the same data in both charts and tables, using DevExpress components.
• Preserve the existing data-access pattern—each report must still call the same stored procedure it does today; no switch to ad-hoc SQL.
• Enable two export paths: PDF with the same formatting users see on screen, and Excel as raw data (no styling).
Acceptance
A report is considered migrated when it:
– Pulls data through the original stored procedure without code changes in the database layer.
– Renders inside the web app via DevExpress controls.
– Exports correctly to PDF and to an unformatted Excel file.
– Appears in the new dashboard, with at least one chart and one table representation.
