Dashboard Data API Integration

I need help wiring external APIs into our existing dashboard so the data we monitor appears in near-real time. The front-end is already built; what’s missing is the secure backend logic that authenticates, pulls, and formats the dashboard data before handing it to the UI.

The application currently runs on Node.js and Express with a PostgreSQL store, but I’m open to Python (FastAPI) if that accelerates delivery. Whichever stack you choose, clean code, clear documentation, and environment-based configuration are essential.

Deliverables
• Integration code that connects to the chosen APIs and returns JSON ready for the dashboard
• Any middleware or helper modules needed for authentication, rate-limits, and error handling
• Step-by-step setup instructions in a concise README
