Car Dealer Auto-Upload API
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run Listit.ie as soon as the dealer’s Listit account is active and they upload their cars to their website it auto populates listit.ie, if they dont include pics it will assume its in prepaeration and show a generic car under cover
Here’s what I need you to put in place:
• A secure, well-documented REST or GraphQL API on our side that exposes the full vehicle record—make, model, year, price, mileage, photos and the dealer’s contact block—in clean JSON or XML.
• An integration layer that pushes the same payload to Listit.ie in real time (or on a configurable schedule) and returns the Listit ID for tracking.
• Full discovery of Listit.ie’s technical requirements. I don’t have their specification, so I’ll rely on you to obtain or reverse-engineer whatever endpoints, auth tokens, or feed formats they expect, handle any sandbox testing, and negotiate rate limits if needed.
• Robust logging, retry logic and simple dashboard or log file so dealers can see success/failure per upload.
• A short setup script or instructions my dev team can drop into any future custom site.
Acceptance criteria
1. Creating or editing a car on one of their sites triggers an automatic, duplicate-free listing on Listit.ie within two minutes.
2. If Listit rejects a record, the error is captured and surfaced to the dealer in plain language.
3. Codebase and README are clean enough for another developer to extend without a walkthrough.
