Brave API Custom Search Engine

I need a search engine powered by Brave search API. I will hand over a complete, multi-page HTML layout and I simply need it brought to life with Brave Search. I can also just provide an image if you prefer. The pages already contain the styling, markup, and placeholders for a results list; your task is to wire up a straightforward “basic search” flow:

• Collect the user’s query from the existing form
• Call the Brave Search API, pass along the query, receive the JSON response
• Render titles, snippets, and links back into the design exactly where the dummy content sits now
• Gracefully handle empty results, loading states, and any API errors

I’m not prescribing a particular framework—feel free to keep it lightweight with vanilla JavaScript, sprinkle in a minimal backend (Node, Python, PHP, etc.) if an API key needs to stay server-side, or adopt a micro library of your choice. What matters is clean, readable code and clear setup instructions so I can drop the finished build onto my hosting and be searching in minutes.

Deliverables
1. Updated project files (HTML, CSS, JS, plus any server components) ready to upload
2. A brief README covering environment variables, build steps, and deployment

Once I can type a keyword, see preview in a dropdown. Also hit enter, and see Brave’s live results styled within my pages, no Brave branding, it must look like its our private search engine, then the job is done.
