Automated Trading Journal Software Build

Job ID: 40099060

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I want to turn my manual trading log into a fully-featured software application that pulls every fill straight from my brokerage account and turns it into actionable intelligence. The heart of the project is a seamless trade-import engine (API or file upload) flexible enough to start with the usual suspects—Interactive Brokers, TD Ameritrade, Robinhood, or any broker that exposes a standard REST or FIX endpoint—and expandable later.

Once the data is in, I need three core analytical angles baked in from day one: traditional performance metrics, solid risk assessment, and clean profit-and-loss trend visualisations. Beyond the numbers, the platform must surface deeper insights: patterns in my own behaviour, execution-speed efficiency, and how results shift with different market conditions. Think dashboards, drill-downs, and clear data storytelling rather than raw tables.

I am comfortable with either a web app (React, Django, Node, etc.) or a cross-platform desktop build (Electron, .NET, Qt). Whichever stack you prefer, the code has to be well-structured, fully commented, and handed over with a short setup guide so I can run, modify, or deploy it myself.

Key deliverables:
• Trade-import module with broker authentication
• Analytics engine covering performance, risk, and P&L trends
• Insight layer highlighting behavioural patterns, execution efficiency, and market correlations
• Responsive UI/UX with interactive charts
• Installation/usage documentation and clean source code repository

Please outline your proposed tech stack, timeline, and any similar projects you’ve shipped so I can gauge fit quickly.
