Amazon Shipping API Automation

I’m building out a Python service that will talk directly to the Amazon Shipping API for my DTC, domestic-USA orders. The first milestone is end-to-end label generation in PDF, returned on demand so my warehouse can print immediately. Alongside that, I also need the same script to request and store real-time tracking data once the shipment is accepted by Amazon.

I already have AWS credentials and a sandbox account; what’s missing is the reliable, production-ready Python wrapper, proper request signing, error handling, and clean JSON responses. If you have prior experience with Amazon’s SP-API or their Shipping API in particular—and can demonstrate label creation plus tracking retrieval in a clean repo—let’s get this running.

Deliverables (acceptance criteria):
• Well-documented Python module(s) that authenticate, create PDF labels, and return Amazon’s tracking ID.
• Background process or callback handler that updates shipment status.
• README with setup steps, environment variables, and sample cURL calls for quick testing.
