Agency Only – SCORM 1.2 Content Player Development for our multi cliant LMS (Applicants must have previously developed a SCORM player.)

Job ID: 40295548

Budget: €6 – €12 EUR

We will only review applications that clearly prove prior development of a SCORM player or SCORM runtime engine. Please include the name of the player, the project, and a short description of your role in its development. Applications without this proof will not be considered.

We are looking for an experienced software development agency to build a SCORM content player that integrates seamlessly with our existing cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS).

The objective is to replace our current external content player with our own integrated solution.

I. Project Goal
Develop a standards-compliant content player capable of running and tracking e-learning content inside our multi-tenant LMS.

The player must:
- import SCORM courses
- launch and play SCORM content
- create learner-course registrations
- track learning progress and completion
- send tracking data back to our LMS via REST APIs
The integration must work plug-and-play, meaning the player can be activated simply by changing the BaseURL in our LMS without modifying LMS code.

II. MVP Scope
The pilot project focuses exclusively on SCORM 1.2.
The MVP must support the following capabilities:
SCORM Package Import:
- Upload and registration of SCORM 1.2 packages
- Handling of standard-compliant SCORM manifests
Course Launch:
- Launch courses directly from the LMS
- Reliable playback of all course components (navigation, media, quizzes)
Registration Logic:
- Creation of unique learner–course registrations
- Tracking tied to the registration context
Learning Progress Tracking:
- Implementation of the SCORM 1.2 runtime API
- Persistent progress tracking
- Resume functionality (bookmarking / suspend data)
Completion Reporting:
- Correct reporting of course status
- Support for typical SCORM completion models:
- - Passed / Incomplete
- - Completed / Incomplete

Future Roadmap (Not Part of MVP)
After successful completion of the MVP, the player will be extended to support additional standards:
- SCORM 2004
- xAPI
- cmi5
- LTI
- AICC

Applications without proof of prior SCORM player development will not be reviewed.
