API Integration Developer (PHP) – Marketplace to Custom ERP Integration

Project Description
We are looking for an experienced backend developer to help us build and maintain full API integrations between multiple marketplaces and our custom ERP system.

Our ERP is independent and fully developed in PHP, and the goal is to synchronize data such as orders, products, inventory, prices, shipments, and statuses using the APIs provided by each marketplace.

This is a long-term collaboration opportunity for the right candidate, as new marketplaces and features will be added over time.

Scope of Work
• Analyze marketplace API documentation
• Develop secure API connections between marketplaces and our PHP-based ERP
• Two-way data synchronization:
• Orders
• Products
• Inventory levels
• Prices
• Shipping and order statuses
• Handle authentication (OAuth, tokens, API keys)
• Error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms
• Optimize performance and data consistency
• Provide technical documentation
• Support testing and debugging

Technical Requirements
• Strong experience with PHP (backend development)
• Proven experience with REST APIs (JSON, XML)
• Experience integrating marketplaces or e-commerce platforms
• Knowledge of:
• Webhooks
• Cron jobs / background processes
• API rate limits
• Secure data handling
• Familiarity with MySQL or similar databases
• Git version control
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and scalable code

Nice to Have
• Experience integrating platforms such as:
• Amazon
• Mercado Libre
• Shopify
• WooCommerce
• eBay
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems
• Understanding of multi-marketplace synchronization challenges
