API Conversion Assistance Needed

I’m migrating an existing API to a new format and need an experienced developer to handle the end-to-end conversion. The current specification and target format are still flexible, so I’ll look to you for guidance on the best approach—whether that means translating REST endpoints, re-structuring XML or JSON payloads, or modernising legacy SOAP calls.

Key objectives:
• Review the existing API documentation and code base.
• Propose an optimal target architecture and data format.
• Implement the conversion, ensuring all endpoints, authentication flows, and error handling continue to work seamlessly.
• Provide concise technical documentation and a quick start guide for future maintenance.

You should be comfortable working with common tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Git, and able to communicate clearly about trade-offs in performance, security, and backwards compatibility. If you’ve successfully migrated or refactored APIs before, especially across multiple formats, I’d love to see examples.
