API-to-Cloud Architecture Design

Job ID: 39785697

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need an end-to-end, architecture-level design that moves data from a single API source into a secure, scalable cloud-storage layer. The engagement covers three things: drawing the high-level blueprint, standing up a small but working PI implementation, and setting clear milestones so everything is wrapped up by 13 September.

Current context
• Source: one REST-based API providing JSON data.
• Destination: cloud storage (exact platform can be decided together).
• Urgency: first draft of the architecture and milestone plan must be ready within days; full PI implementation complete by 13 September.

What I expect
1. A concise architecture diagram showing all components, data flow, security boundaries, and monitoring hooks.
2. A milestone plan that breaks the work into realistic chunks (architecture sign-off, environment setup, API connectors, data landing zone, validation, hand-over).
3. A small PI build that proves the design works—automated pull from the API, transform/flatten if needed, land in cloud storage, minimal monitoring and error handling in place.
4. Short documentation so future engineers can extend the pipeline.

Acceptance criteria
• I can trigger the pipeline, watch data move from the API into cloud storage, and see logs or metrics confirming success or pinpointing errors.
• All decisions (tool choice, security controls, scaling approach) are justified in the design document.
• Work finishes—tested and handed over—no later than 13 September.

When you respond, focus on the experience you have architecting API-driven integrations into cloud storage, especially any similar PI or proof-of-concept builds you have delivered on tight timelines.
