PROJECT OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an experienced system administrator / PHP developer with experience in:
* IMAP mail systems
* Webmail platforms
* SnappyMail or Roundcube
* WAMP/Apache/PHP
* Mail filtering automation
* Shared mailbox workflows
We currently use cPanel email hosting. Our business uses one primary mailbox:
email@domain
This mailbox acts as:
* a shared team mailbox
* catch-all email for multiple aliases
* centralized communication inbox
Currently, our employees use Apple Mail / Thunderbird locally for filtering and organization, but we want to move to a centralized 24/7 web-based mail system hosted internally on our WAMP web server.
GOALS:
1. Install and configure a webmail platform
Preferred:
* SnappyMail
Alternative:
* Roundcube
2. Configure connection to cPanel email using:
* IMAP
* SMTP
* SSL/TLS
3. Configure shared mailbox workflow
Requirements:
* multiple employees access same mailbox
* employees can send/reply/forward email
* employees will have dedicate sender aliases
Examples:
support@domain
payroll@domain
tax@domain
4. Configure or build automated mail filtering/routing system
Examples:
* auto move payroll emails into Payroll folder
* auto move tax emails into Tax folder
* auto move spam/junk emails
* auto organize by recipient alias
* auto organize by sender/domain/subject keywords
5. Filtering system must run 24/7 server-side
We do NOT want:
* Thunderbird filters
* Outlook local rules
* desktop-dependent filtering
We want:
* server-side IMAP filtering automation
* PHP IMAP scripts or similar solution
* automatic scheduled processing
6. Install and configure on TEST VM first
IMPORTANT:
* We will provide a virtual Windows test environment
* WAMP server will already be installed
* Freelancer must install/configure everything on test VM first
* After completion, freelancer must teach/document how to migrate/install onto production office server
7. Training / Documentation Required
Need:
* step-by-step installation documentation
* backup/restore instructions
* filter management instructions
* troubleshooting guidance
* explanation of how the system works
