OVH VPS Root & Hestia Recovery

I’ve lost both the root password for my OVH-hosted Linux VPS and the admin password to the Hestia Control Panel that’s running on it. SSH is currently inaccessible, and I’m unsure how to leverage the OVH customer panel’s rescue / password-reset features, so I need someone who can step in and restore full administrative access without data loss or service interruption.

Scope of work
• Boot the VPS into OVH rescue (or any other safe) mode, reset or replace the root password, and verify that normal boot returns with working SSH access.
• Regain or reset the HestiaCP admin password so I can log in through the web interface again.
• Provide a concise write-up of exactly what was done, including any OVH panel steps and terminal commands, so I can repeat the process if necessary.

Acceptance criteria
• I can SSH into the server as root with the new credentials.
• I can access HestiaCP as the admin user.
• Websites and services hosted on the VPS remain online throughout the process.
