Linux Apache App Modernization

Job ID: 39758661

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

My Linux-hosted Apache web application has been in daily use for years, yet its interface and flow now feel dated. I need the codebase refreshed and expanded so the system feels streamlined and truly user-friendly.

Core objectives
• Refresh the user interface: a simplified layout, cleaner visual design, and intuitive icons or buttons that guide users naturally through each page.
• Smooth navigation: reduce the clicks between key screens and reorganize menus so everything is exactly where people expect it.
• Faster interactions: optimise loading times for the busiest features—query handling, data retrieval, and page rendering—without compromising stability.
• New quality-of-life features that make common tasks quicker; I’m open to your suggestions once you see the current workflow.

The application currently runs on a traditional LAMP stack, so you’ll be working with Apache on Linux plus the existing PHP, JavaScript and SQL code. Clean, well-commented commits are essential because the platform must stay live while upgrades are staged.

I will grant SSH access to a cloned instance for development; once updates are tested and accepted we’ll migrate to production during a low-traffic window. If your improvements hit the targets above—visibly cleaner UI, frictionless navigation, and snappier response times—the project will be a success.
