Job Post: Fix Googlebot Crawl Errors (5xx) – Server/CDN/Technical SEO Expert Needed

Description:
Our site is showing a high rate of 5xx server errors when Googlebot crawls, according to Google Search Console.

DNS and robots.txt are fine, but up to 40% of crawl requests are failing with server connectivity errors.

Errors are intermittent — the site appears fine for humans but Googlebot gets blocked/timed out.

Most failures affect Smartphone Googlebot, which is critical for indexing.

We need an expert to:

Diagnose why Googlebot requests are failing (server connectivity / CDN / firewall / rate-limiting).

Review server/CDN logs and firewall settings (Cloudflare, Wordfence, etc.).

Implement fixes (whitelisting Googlebot, tuning timeouts, caching setup).

Verify with live testing (e.g., curl as Googlebot) and confirm resolution in Search Console.

Skills required:
