Seeking RF expert to tune a 2.4 GHz BLE antenna
Budget: $500 – $800 USD
I need a specialist to design a simple ground-plane PCB that hosts the Taoglas WLP.2450.25.4.A.02 antenna and then tune it in the actual operating condition. Do not apply if you don’t have a calibrated Vector Network Analyzer, the right instruments, and the experience to measure the antenna inside the real device. A preliminary drawing with mechanical clearances is already available; only the matching network and details are missing.
Required activities
• Design the π-style matching network and select real, off-the-shelf component values.
• Perform bench tuning for BLE inside the ball-shaped device.
• Document every step (before/after), with a concise report of the tuning iterations, the final schematic, the BOM, and the finished PCB file.
PCB fabrication and materials
• After you design the PCB, you must have your suppliers fabricate a couple of test PCBs and order one Taoglas WLP.2450.25.4.A.02 antenna (about $3).
• By the time the PCB arrives from the factory, you must already have the components ready for matching trials. Required values for tuning:
– NP0/C0G capacitors, 0402, from 0.5 pF to 2.0 pF;
– High-Q inductors, 0402, from 3.3 nH to 10 nH.
Project workflow and phases
• Phase 1: once you show the PCB drawing ready for production, I will make the first partial payment. In the meantime, I will send the ball in which the system will be housed so you can take measurements.
• Phase 2: when you have tuned the antenna and shown me the measurements and photos of how you performed them, with and without tuning, and the board is ready to be shipped, you will receive the remaining payment.
Terms
• The price you quote in the offer is the price you will be paid. Do not ask for extras or changes.
• If you don’t have a lab and proper instruments, don’t apply and don’t waste my time.
• Always answer questions promptly. I do not tolerate silence or missing answers that block the process.
• The project is extremely urgent. If I say “urgent,” act accordingly, not with promises followed by delays.
