RF/Microwave Engineer for MIMO Antenna Analysis

Job ID: 39886250

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I'm seeking an experienced RF/Microwave Engineer or Antenna Design Specialist proficient in Ansys HFSS to perform advanced analysis and generate specific reports for a completed MIMO antenna design. The core design and initial results are ready, but detailed parametric studies and specific plots are required to strengthen the patent application.

Project Requirements
The successful candidate will need to execute the following tasks using the provided HFSS model:

1. Parametric Analysis of Interconnect Vias
The antenna design incorporates vias between the MIMO elements. A detailed parametric sweep is required to analyze the effect of these vias on the antenna's performance.

Via Diameter Variation: Perform a sweep by varying the via diameter. Since the overall physical space is constrained, this will inherently decrease the spacing between the via wall and other metal structures (if applicable).

Goal: Compare the new performance characteristics (e.g., S-parameters, efficiency, isolation) against the existing design to understand the trade-offs.

Via Count Reduction: Systematically reduce the number of vias used in the interconnects (e.g., from 4 to 3, 3 to 2, etc.) and observe the resulting changes in performance.

Goal: Determine the minimum viable via count that maintains acceptable performance for manufacturability and cost optimization.

2. Specialized Plots and Field Visualization
Generate and document the following critical plots and visualizations:

Surface Current Density Plots: Provide detailed plots showing the surface current density on the antenna structure at the operating frequency(ies) for different modes (e.g., isolation and co-excitations).

Near-Field/Far-Field Visualization: Generate and analyze other relevant plots like E- and H-fields, or 3D radiation patterns to support the patent claims.

3. Comprehensive Reporting
Deliver a comprehensive report summarizing all steps, results, and conclusions, including:

Clear documentation of the parametric study setup in HFSS.

Comparative plots (e.g., S-parameters overlaying existing vs. new/optimized results).

Analysis and interpretation of the surface current density and field plots.

Recommendations based on the findings.

Required Expertise and Deliverables
Tool Proficiency: Mandatory expert-level proficiency with Ansys HFSS.

Experience: Proven experience in designing and analyzing MIMO antennas and planar RF/Microwave structures.

Deliverables:

Final HFSS project files showing the parametric setups.

A professional written report (PDF) detailing the analysis, plots, and conclusions.

If you have strong experience in HFSS simulations, specifically with parametric analysis of interconnects/vias in complex antenna structures, please apply
