Kapton & FR-4 Antenna Fabrication
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’m ready to move my microstrip patch antenna design into production and need a shop that can build prototypes on two distinct substrates:
• Copper-clad polyimide (Kapton) – 0.127 mm, kept fully flexible after etching
• FR-4 – 0.2 mm, standard rigid board
Because I selected Both in the substrate options, I need each version produced to the same RF-grade accuracy. Please let me know:
1. Whether your line can handle flexible Kapton as confidently as FR-4, including any special tooling or process controls you employ.
2. Itemised pricing for low-volume runs on each substrate.
3. Typical lead time from Gerber release to outbound shipment.
4. A short overview of your fabrication and inspection facilities (LDI, controlled-depth etch, AOI, impedance control, peel testing, etc.).
Acceptance criteria
• Finished boards match my Gerber and drill files within published tolerances.
• Copper adhesion on Kapton passes a standard peel test.
• All vias plated, no shorts, clean edges, and boards arrive safely packaged.
