ESP32 Mini Wi-Fi Range Enhancement
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m working with an ESP32 Super Mini in an entirely indoor setup where solid walls are the chief obstacle between the module and my router. Out-of-the-box performance is disappointing, so I haven’t moved beyond the stock PCB trace; no repositioning tricks or external antennas have been tried.
I’d like you to guide me through (or design for me) an antenna modification that materially extends the unit’s range while keeping the overall footprint small. Practical advice on matching networks, ground-plane tweaks, or a compact external antenna design is welcome—as long as it improves signal strength through those walls.
Deliverables
• A schematic and physical layout (or clear step-by-step photographs) of the proposed antenna modification, tailored to the ESP32 Super Mini form factor.
• Bill of materials with component values for any matching network or external parts.
• Short test procedure showing before-and-after RSSI or throughput results so we can confirm measurable improvement indoors with walls in the path.
You’re free to lean on RF simulation tools, a VNA, or empirical tuning—just be ready to explain the rationale so I can replicate the steps on my bench.
