The task centres on a UHF dipole that must present the lowest possible return loss to its 50 Ω feed. I will provide the physical dimensions and intended mounting environment; you calculate an appropriate matching network, then validate the design in simulation so I can integrate it with confidence.

Key points to keep in mind
• Frequency band: within the UHF range (300 – 3000 MHz) – my focus is a single sub-band that I’ll specify once we begin.
• Goal: minimise signal reflection (S11) across the stated bandwidth; −10 dB or better is the acceptance threshold.
• Antenna type: classic centre-fed dipole.

Preferred workflow
You perform an initial Smith-Chart analysis, translate it into a lumped-element or transmission-line match (whichever proves more compact), then verify performance in a mainstream RF package by CST. Optimisation sweeps to demonstrate margin are expected.

Deliverables
1. Calculated component values or line lengths with a short design rationale.
2. Touchstone (.s1p) file showing simulated S-parameters before and after matching.
3. Simulation project file so I can reproduce the plots.
4. Brief PDF report (≤5 pages) summarising method, plots, and conclusions.
