Surface-Mounted PM Motor Design

Job ID: 39942113

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

I’m developing a surface-mounted permanent-magnet motor for an e-bike and need an Ansys Maxwell specialist to carry out the electromagnetic side of the design.

Scope
• Build a clean 2D/3D model of the motor geometry in Ansys Maxwell.
• Run steady-state and transient electromagnetic simulations, concentrating on torque production and ripple minimisation.
• Optimise key parameters—slot/pole combination, magnet dimensions, winding configuration—to maximise torque within typical e-bike voltage and current limits.
• Provide a concise technical report summarising methodology, material assumptions, key plots (flux density, cogging torque, back-EMF), and your final recommended specs.

What I’ll supply
Stator/rotor target dimensions, expected speed range, and any envelope constraints the frame imposes.

Deliverables
1. Ansys Maxwell project files (ready to rerun).
2. PDF report with results, screenshots, and conclusions.
3. A brief hand-off call or document explaining how to tweak parameters for future iterations.

If you’ve handled surface-mounted PM designs before and can keep the workflow lightweight yet accurate, I’d love to review your proposal.
