Supercritical CO₂ Pipe CFD Validation

Job ID: 39813991

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I need to reproduce the vertical-pipe experiment for supercritical CO₂ that a recently published paper reports. The goal is to match the wall-temperature profile they present and show, with clear plots, how closely the Ansys Fluent results align.

Geometry, inlet pressure/temperature, and mass-flow data are already taken from the paper and will be shared as soon as the project begins. The boundary condition on the pipe wall is a uniform, constant heat flux; no temperature profile is imposed. Turbulence model selection, mesh strategy, and property handling for sCO₂ are up to you, but every choice must be justified in the short report.

Deliverables
• Fluent case and data files, mesh, and any UDFs used
• A concise report (Word or PDF) explaining setup, mesh independence, model rationale, and comparing axial wall temperature from the paper with the simulation (include numerical tables and overlaid graphs)
• Screenshot gallery or short video of residuals and key contours to confirm convergence

Acceptance is based on numerical agreement with the reference wall-temperature curve within the uncertainty band stated in the paper, plus clear documentation that lets me rerun the model without guessing any settings.

Please keep all work in Ansys Fluent; no alternative solvers are required.
