Gate Stress Ansys Simulation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a detailed CAD model of a steel hydroelectric gate that needs to be taken through a static structural study in Ansys. The only performance metric that matters right now is an accurate stress distribution under the design head pressure and self-weight; deformation or fatigue can be ignored at this stage.
What I will hand over:
• Native CAD geometry (step/iges or SolidWorks)
• Operating load cases, boundary conditions and material properties (structural steel)
What I need in return:
• Ansys Workbench project file with a clean, well-constrained static structural setup
• High-resolution stress contour plots highlighting critical areas
• A brief summary (PDF or Word) explaining mesh strategy, key assumptions and peak stress values, so I can circulate it internally
Please keep the workflow fully parametric so we can adjust load magnitudes later without rebuilding the model. If you use APDL commands, comment them clearly. My preference is Ansys 2021 R2 or newer, but let me know if you are on a different version.
Deliverables will be reviewed against the provided load cases; the project is complete once maximum stresses are reported and all files open without errors on my end.
