Troubleshoot Ansible & Rundeck

Job ID: 39849611

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

My automation stack is showing errors and unexpected behavior in both Ansible playbooks and Rundeck job runs, and I need an experienced engineer to get everything back to a clean, reliable state. The core objectives are simple: identify what is breaking, correct the root cause, and leave clear documentation so the fixes are repeatable in the future.

You will start by reviewing the current inventory, playbooks, role structure, and Rundeck job definitions. From there, I’d like you to trace any failing tasks, mis-configured plugins, or authentication issues, implement the required code or configuration changes, and validate that all jobs now complete successfully.

Deliverables
• Updated Ansible playbooks/roles with repairs clearly commented
• Corrected Rundeck job definitions and plugin configs
• A concise report outlining root causes, steps taken, and any version or dependency notes
• A quick hand-off session (recorded or live) demonstrating a green run of representative jobs

Acceptance criteria
• All targeted Ansible plays exit 0 with no skipped critical tasks
• Rundeck jobs execute end-to-end without manual intervention or retry loops
• No new warnings appear in the logs after a full job cycle
• Documentation is complete enough for another admin to reproduce the fix

I keep everything in Git, so be ready to work via a feature branch and open a pull request when you’re done. If you’re confident in troubleshooting YAML syntax, Jinja2 templates, and Rundeck ACLs, I’m ready to get this wrapped up quickly.
