Transmission Substation Testing Support Needed

I’m overseeing the commissioning of a new transmission-level substation and need an experienced partner to accelerate the on-site testing phase. My main focus is protection relays, but the scope also covers circuit breakers and power transformers, so I’m looking for someone comfortable moving across those assets without missing a beat.

What I need from you
• Develop or refine detailed test sheets and procedures for protection relay testing and calibration (distance, differential, overcurrent, etc.).
• Execute or remotely guide primary and secondary injection tests, verify logic, and document results in line with IEC 61850 / IEEE recommendations.
• Perform functional and timing tests on circuit breakers, including contact resistance and insulation checks, then deliver clear pass/fail reports.
• Draft transformer electrical tests (ratio, winding resistance, insulation, tan δ) and collate findings into a consolidated commissioning dossier.
• Flag anomalies, propose corrective actions, and update as-built drawings or settings where required.

How we’ll work
I’ll supply one-line diagrams, existing relay settings, and any vendor manuals you need. We can connect via Teams or Zoom during live testing windows; screen-sharing from Omicron CMC or Doble test sets is acceptable. All final documents should be returned in editable Excel/Word or PDF formats, ready for client turnover.

Success looks like this
• Complete set of signed test records for relays, breakers, and transformers.
• No open punch-list items at energization.
• Clear, well-structured report bundle I can hand straight to the utility’s QA team.
