30 sec promotional video – Kickstarter campaign | Illustrated RPG book
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We're looking for a creative animator to produce a short (max. 30-35 sec) promotional video for our Kickstarter campaign and website. The video will promote an illustrated book filled with maps and RPG locations.
We will provide:
Illustrations and location maps
Book cover (file + mockups)
Logo (vector format)
Background files, textures, graphic elements
A detailed scene-by-scene script
Scope of work:
Create an animated promotional video (max. 30 seconds)
Add effects: logo animation, animated backgrounds (clouds, fog, etc.), flashes, zooms
Select and/or edit music and sound effects (e.g. pen stroke, whoosh, closing book)
Export for web use (MP4, WebM) and Kickstarter (1080p)
Tone and atmosphere:
Fantasy style – dark, moody, artistic
Inspired by hand-drawn maps, fog, magic, and mystery
The video should evoke curiosity and emphasize the artistic nature of the book
Script:
0:00–0:03
Scene: Black background. logo appears with animation: line drawing, then a stamped ink effect with a flare.
Sound: Pen stroke and stamp impact.
0:04–0:08
Scene: Book cover. The background is alive: moving clouds, rustling trees, flying birds, fog drifting at the base.
Sound: Subtle ambient fantasy music.
0:09–0:12
Scene: Zoom-in on the portal illustration. As the portal fills the frame: flash and transition.
Sound: Rising tension, "whoosh" and flash.
0:13–0:22
Scene: Sequence of illustrated locations. Each appears fullscreen, zooms in on a detail (e.g. portal, tower, market), then transitions dynamically (flash or directional swipe) to the next.
Sound: Building fantasy music with a soft "whoosh" effect at each transition.
