Video Editor for Athletic Recruiting Platform
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
PROJECT: Short-Form Video Editor — Modular Content Assembly (Ongoing)
Brand: Recruiting Made Simple — college baseball/softball recruiting platform
The Job:
I film modular video components (Hooks, Bodies, CTAs) as separate clips. You assemble them into finished short-form videos per a spreadsheet that tells you exactly which clips to combine. This is assembly + polish, not creative direction.
What You’ll Receive:
∙ Raw clips labeled H1-H50 (hooks), B1-B7 (bodies), C1-C5 (CTAs)
∙ B-roll folder (facility, app demos, athlete clips)
∙ Combination Matrix spreadsheet assigning which Hook + Body + CTA go together
∙ Brand color hex codes and caption style guide
What You Deliver:
∙ 9:16 vertical videos (IG Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
∙ 1080x1920, 30fps, MP4 (H.264), audio at -14 LUFS
∙ Target duration: 45-60 seconds per video
∙ Batches of 10 videos at a time
Editing Requirements:
∙ Word-by-word animated captions on every video (bold sans-serif, white with dark outline, key words highlighted in yellow or red)
∙ Pattern interrupts (zoom, cut, angle shift) every 3-5 seconds through the body section
∙ B-roll inserts layered over body sections where natural
∙ Subtle SFX (whoosh on text, light bass hit on stats) — max 3-4 per video
∙ Low background music under body only, fade out before CTA
∙ Clean cuts between components — no flashy transitions
Non-Negotiables:
∙ Hook is the FIRST frame. No logo intros, no bumpers, no dead air
∙ Face must be visible during hooks and CTAs (B-roll overlays on body only)
∙ “Fit Score” is always capitalized — review all auto-captions for accuracy
∙ Video ends clean — no trailing black frames
∙ Assemble exactly as the spreadsheet assigns. Don’t rearrange
Turnaround:
∙ 10 videos per batch
∙ First batch: 48 hours
∙ Ongoing batches: 5 business days
∙ 2 revision rounds included
To Apply:
Send me one sample — take any talking-head clip from YouTube, add captions + pattern interrupts + a stat overlay in the style described above. 60 seconds max. This tells me more than a portfolio link.
