Twenty-One Adult Cartoon Scripts

Job ID: 40228986

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I have an animated series in development and need a batch of twenty-one scripts, each running about three minutes. The audience is strictly adults, so feel free to lean into sharper observations and mature dialogue.

Tone & Style
Think of the dry, slice-of-life wit you’d find in “King of the Hill,” the quick-cut storytelling of “Life in Pieces,” and the ensemble banter that keeps “Modern Family” moving. That balance of relatable situations and laugh-out-loud moments is exactly what I’m after—smart, character-driven comedy rather than slapstick or shock value.

Core Settings
Every episode should revolve around everyday settings that adults recognise: family life, workplace antics, and friendship circles. You can mix and match these backdrops across the scripts to keep things fresh while still feeling part of the same world.

Deliverables
• 21 individual scripts
• Roughly 3 minutes of screen time per script (around 2–3 pages each, standard animation format)
• Clear scene headings, dialogue, and brief action lines suitable for storyboarding
• Original jokes and scenarios; no recycled plotlines or references that require licensing

Acceptance Criteria
A script is approved when it:
• Hits the 3-minute mark without padding
• Captures the chosen humor style—grounded, observational, character-focused
• Fits at least one of the three core settings
• Reads clean (grammar-checked, proofed, and ready for the artist and voice team)

If a quick sample helps you lock the tone, feel free to submit one short script or a detailed outline for early feedback before diving into the full set.
