Suspenseful 2D Book Trailer Animation -- 2
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m ready to push a video on Instagram and YouTube for my newest book and I need a suspense-driven 2D animated trailer. The goal is to grip an audience for a few intense seconds, tease the plot without spoilers, and leave them wanting more.
Here’s how I see the workflow:
• I supply the book cover and a rough voice-over/script.
• You craft a storyboard, lock down the pacing, and move into full 2D animation with moody lighting, dramatic cuts, and subtle camera moves.
• Add royalty-free background music and sound effects that heighten tension.
• Deliver the finished piece in MP4, optimized for both Instagram feed (1080 × 1350) and reel/story (1080 × 1920), plus the editable project files.
Acceptance criteria - Language English USA:
• 20–30 seconds of smooth 2D animation that captures a suspenseful tone.
• Visuals, audio, and text all clearly readable on mobile.
• All assets must be license-cleared for commercial use.
Creative influences:
I’m especially drawn to the storytelling and visual style of animated series like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Galaxy Rangers. I’m also a big fan of themes involving time travel, action/adventure, and western elements, so subtle inspiration from those genres would fit well with the tone of the project.
If this aligns with your skill set, I’d love to see your reel and discuss timelines.
