Refresh Black Friday Shelter Video

Job ID: 40001063

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

Last year, our local animal shelter released a Black Friday video as a playful way to promote its black dogs available for adoption. It had a retrowave aesthetic and went viral on Instagram! This year, we would like to make some updates.

The project was built on Canva as a square video. We have since changed it to a vertical video (1080x1980) and now the graphics need to be adjusted. The text is entirely in Portuguese. You don't need to worry about what it says.

I’ll supply the current Canva link and also the link to last year's project. Here is a preview:

Your task consists of:

1. Updating the intro screen. This is what it looks like now:

The text reads: 1 - This Black Friday, 2 - Adopt one of our black dogs, the latest in unconditional love.

The background video we used last year had to be replaced by a vertical video that fills this screen. Readability with the new background isn't great. We would like to either change the background (while keeping the neon aesthetic) or adjust the text to make it pop out more.

We also want to add something fun at the bottom saying "Edição de 2025" (2025 Edition).

2. Updating the dog details template.

Each dog has its own card. This is what it looks like: https://ibb.co/jkGg3mxx

With the move to a vertical format, there is a lot more empty space, and the dog's name in particular feels like it's floating around. Another issue is that the neon bars in the details section are actually a single video; it's impossible to increase the space between them.

Overall, the aesthetic should remain the same, but feel free to let us know your design ideas.

Because this is for a time-sensitive campaign, I’d like the refreshed version ready for review within 48 hours of project start. When the update is complete, please share the editable Canva link.

If you’re comfortable working inside Canva and have an eye for playful, animal-friendly design, I’m ready to collaborate right away.
