Minimalist Animated Map Creation
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
I'm looking for a creative who can create a series of short animations for a Round Australia Boat Trip over the course of this year to illustrate individual legs of the trip.
The style of the animation and the map of Australia should be simple, fun and clearly show the boats path and stopping points and in a simple and informative way. We may even use sat nav information from the boats computer.
The animations will be used in private social media posts and will help form the basis of a 'home movie' of the whole once in a lifetime trip.
I will work collaboratively with you to find an appropriate style which we want to remain consistent through the year.
Deliverables will be determined as we progress, but might include:
- A title animation to be used at the start of every 'episode' featuring the Boat Name and animated text along the lines of "the 2025 Great Big Lap of Australia" (tbc).
- There will then be ongoing animations which will feature small legs, ie on this day we travelled from 'here' to 'here' or on this day we stayed 'here' - whereby someone will know where in Australia the boat was where the featured content was created by seeing the animation.
- We will also end up with a cumulative map that says 'this is how far we have travelled from the beginning of our trip to 'now'.
- The animation might feature a little boat graphic that moves from A to B and leaves a trail of the route.
- Sometimes the animation might include the whole of Australia and sometimes it might just include small aspects of a particular coast line or a group of islands.
- Locations names, landmarks and points of interest would appear on the map.
- Labels: Clear, easy-to-read identifiers for various elements on the map - perhaps, Reefs, Turtles or Dolphins.
The ideal candidate for this project will be need to work with me via regular instructions and requests during the year.
I would like to see examples of your animations and at this stage are open to different look and feels.
